A Designer Level I exhibits proven solution design ability with aptitude to continuously develop their skills and provide best in class support to IFF clients. Continues to extend knowledge of ingredients, customer bases, processes and flavor interactions in associated Category applications while developing project planning ability. A Designer Level I works independently on assigned projects and collaboratively on large and must-win projects (may vary based on business needs).
Responsbilities/Description:
Develops finished product formulations incorporating IFF technologies and meeting industrial standards, country specific and client requirements (profile, legal, cost and stability requirements)
Works on projects for key local, strategic, and regional customers with commercial success
Applies the use of Product Experience (PX) data for projects when required
Understands the applicable portfolio performance in broad spectrum of finished products and production processes
Refines attributes (taste and texture) language and articulates with team and project members
Continuously evolves/expands knowledge of ingredients and materials for Product Design
Maintains and continuously renovates recipe database
Under guidance, coordinates with Production and Quality departments to participate in successful scale-up trials
Understands Creative and Design process, cost influence, productivity performance and development constraints
Demonstrates an understanding of the market evolution and consumer preference of the assigned Category
Works in close collaboration with Sales and Marketing, Flavorists, PX, GRA and other departments to support project execution
Develops internal network to expand design and business knowledge
Shows positive attitude and passion
Shares knowledge with the team and provides guidance to Trainee/Associate Designers
Requeriments:
Minimum entry level is a University/College Degree in Food Science and Technology or related disciplines (such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Human Nutrition)
Preferred Master’s Degree In a Related Area
Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial food, pharmaceutical, ingredient or flavor industry, with minimum 2 years in the specific field of expertise
