    Associate- Quality Assurance Engineer

    As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work as part of a vibrant team of solution providers to develop innovative applications that solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to generate transformative ideas, identify and understand business requirements, provide solutions, and support the implementation of agile projects that meet both current and future needs of the clients.

    PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

    • Design and implement tests, debug and define corrective actions, review system  requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts).
    • Partake in all stages of software development to proactively identify potential issues.
    • Ensure products and services meet regulatory standards and customer needs.
    • Partake in periodic review of established Quality Assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements and fixes to existing applications throughout their development/product life cycles.

    Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to understand business requirements and develop and execute test cases.
    • Validate functionality and system performance through manual testing and automated testing.
    • Liaise with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to analyze and resolve issues detected through testing.
    • Review and update periodic project progress reports.  
    • Perform system integrated testing of the entire product as well as testing of the critical individual components.
    • Meet with the project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines.
    • Performing granular and detailed business analysis, mitigating potential risks, and identifying appropriate opportunities and solutions
    • Proficient in industry standard techniques for quality assurance
    • Identify, manage and mitigate technical and project risks by coordinating with BA, developers and project managers
    • Working closely with a technical build team to communicate functional requirements and ensure good technical understanding so build activities can commence

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, potentially across multiple assignments
    • Commitment to personal development in relevant skills
    • Strong written, oral and presentation skills
    • Good knowledge of automated testing tools (postman, selenium)
    • Exposure to knowledge of QA terminology and methods
    • Exposure to test management tools such as Jira
    • Good knowledge of any programming language [Java, C#, Javascript]
    • Proven work experience in software testing
    • 1-2 year(s) of progressive roles managing IT system/software development and project management processes
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information System.
    • ISTQB certification is an added advantage
