Assistant Warehouse Head at Goldline Nigeria Limited

An assistant warehouse head will manage and oversees the necessary receiving, handling, storing, picking and packing activities within the warehouse. He is to ensure quality standards are met at all times. He is to be exceptionally detailed oriented and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. The objective is to achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders and track shipping times if need be.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.
2. Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
3. Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.
4. Meet regularly with warehouse Head to review, analyse, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
5. Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of packages.
6. Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security. 
7. Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
8. Supervise and issues Job description to subordinates whose job are not explicitly describe in the personnel policy, delegate duty accordingly and submit the supplementary Job description to the warehouse Head and back to the Human Resource for retention.
9. Carryout other job that the Warehouse Head may assign.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Shall be an HND or B.Sc. holder in science or social science.
2. A professional qualification in supply chain and logistics management or warehousing shall be an added advantage.
3. Shall possess a minimum of 4 years post graduate experience.
4. Shall possess very strong leadership ability.
5. Shall be very analytical.
6. Shall have a robust health and physical stamina.
7. Shall have good computational and data presentation skills.
8. Shall possess a very respectable countenance and personality.
9. Shall possess strong conceptual intelligence to perceive and conceive corporate goals.
10. Shall possess a demonstrable ability for orderliness and enforcement of order.
11. Shall have the ability to work under pressure and without supervision.
12. Shall have very good interpersonal skill.
13. Shall have an excellent sense of judgement.
14. Shall have impeccable character, punctuality, integrity, contentment, objectivity and impartial.
15. Shall be teachable and ever willing to lend personal knowledge to others.
16. Shall possess report and memo writing skills. These include having a good command of English.
17. Shall possess the abilities to take initiative, be creative and be a strong enforcer / executor.
18. Must reside in or around Isolo, Lagos.
