    Assistant Purchase Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Preparation of purchase plans and ordering plans
    • Scrutinizing the purchase requirements and securing quotations
    • Timely execution of the purchase orders as per the terms and conditions
    • Ensure ordering cycle for optimum conditions.
    • Preparation of Comparative Statements and analyzing quotations
    • Ensure that Consumable / Administration related items/ Packing material & services /spare parts obsolescence is minimum and as per budgeted provisions.
    • Elimination of GIN pendency due to purchase order problem
    • Processing of indents into purchase orders for both domestic and global locations
    • Ensure that the Consumable / Administration related items/ Packing material & services /spare parts Receive and Issue procedure is followed by the stores team.
    • Ensure full parts consumption before end of life.
    • Rates negotiation with vendors, their development and ratings
    • Formulating reports related to Cost Reduction
    • Checking receipts of materials, taking feedback and follow- ups with the users.

    Requirements / Skills

    • HND / B.Sc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field
    • 3-5 years’ work experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Officer or similar role
    • Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes
    • Good understanding of supply chain procedures
    • Hands-on experience with purchasing software (e.g. Procurify, SpendMap or others)
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
    • Knowledge of market research
    • Solid organizational skills
    • Ability to establish and develop relationships with internal and external sources
    • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
    • Thorough attention to detail
    • Self-motivation.

    Remuneration
    N300,000 Monthly.
