Assistant Production Manager at LD&D Consulting

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Production Manager in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily production operations.
• Supervise factory floor staff (carpenters, upholsterers, finishers, machine operators) to ensure productivity and quality output.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of furniture orders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and workplace standards within the workshop.
• Coordinate raw material usage and support inventory control to minimize waste and downtime.
• Conduct routine quality checks on finished and in-process furniture to ensure adherence to company standards.
• Assist in implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce production costs.
• Prepare basic production reports (daily output, downtime, material usage) for management review.
• Support maintenance planning for machines and tools to reduce breakdowns.
• Liaise with design, sales, and logistics teams to align production with order requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• OND / HND / B.Sc. in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment (furniture or woodwork industry is a strong advantage).
• Practical knowledge of furniture production processes (carpentry, finishing, upholstery, assembly).
• Strong people management and supervisory skills.
