Job Summary

• The Assistant Branch Accountant is responsible for branch accounting, financial controls, reconciliations, and cash operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and support timely month-end closing and reconciliations.
• Reconcile sales, cash, bank, POS, receivables, payables, and inter-branch balances, escalating discrepancies promptly.
• Support stock reconciliation, inventory counts, variance analysis, and documentation of financial exceptions.
• Prepare financial reports, audit schedules, tax documentation, and other Finance reports while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Education and Work Experience

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with a minimum of Second Class Lower/Upper Credit.
• 1–3 years’ experience in accounting, preferably within retail, distribution, consumer electronics, FMCG, or a similar environment.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, cash management, AR/AP, inventory control, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software; Odoo experience and ICAN/ACCA/ANAN certification or professional studies are an advantage.
