Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Wazobia Technologies

Role Overview:

• AI Engineer is a key player within cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features. Unearthing new play experiences through AI and ML, driving efforts in the development and deployment of ML models, and integrating innovation into digital products.
• This role is forward-thinking and flexible, requiring the incumbent to be an expert in Python and to relish learning and carrying out varied other tasks beyond their present comfort zone.

Some of the key roles and responsibilities include: 

• Leads the development and deployment of Machine Learning models and systems.
• Developing prototypes for future play experiences and embedding solutions into products.
• Identifying and driving value in AI-based solutions through engaging and participating with the relevant stakeholders.
• Keeping current with the latest technology and toolsets in the Machine Learning sphere.
• Work closely with a diverse, multi-disciplinary group of people in an iterative, design-driven development of features meeting product goals.
• Authoring, where the code should be clear, maintainable, and portable.
• Working collaboratively with software engineers on designing and developing high-quality, scalable software.
• Design and develop Python code and interfaces (APIs and services) that are effective toward platform architecture and scalable in their integration with various systems.

Skills and experience required

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in building Machine Learning models and delivering high-quality solutions.
• Familiarity with graph machine learning and application of methods for classification, prediction, and generation tasks. 
• Experience with generative AI methods, and expertise in their adaptation to custom data sets and domains. 
• Proficiency in Python programming, hands-on experience with the most widely used software development tools.
• Excellent communicator to work well in cross-functional groups.
• Knowledgeable about AI behavior techniques.
• Good at managing time and being organized.
• Having a strong interest in the introduction of new technologies related to AI.
• Passionate to design large, dependable software.
• Exceptionally analytical.
• Experience in building and running production platforms.
