    Area Sales & Marketing Coordinators

    Reporting to: REGIONAL SALES &MARKETING MANAGER

    Department: SALES & MARKETING

    Job Summary:

    This role is responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities and planning and implementing new sales plans in the area. The Area Sales and Marketing Coordinator will also provide supervision and direction to Sales & Marketing employees of the area as well as streamline processes for operational effectiveness.

    Key Result Areas (KRA)

    The key result areas of this role are:

    • Sales target achievement
    • Effectiveness in credit management and debt recovery ( where applicable)
    • Reduction in sales concentration risk (geographical and market spread)
    • Blend of products (fast and non-fast moving)
    • Control of area’s operating cost
    • Brand awareness, positive image projection and protection
    • Customer care and relationship

    Responsibilities

    Sales & Marketing:

    • Promoting the company’s existing brands and introducing new products to the area.
    • Scheduling expenditures, and ensuring that the sales team in the area meets their target and goals.
    • Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding customer requirements, identifying markets trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company’s marketing goals.
    • Gathering, investigating, and summarizing market data and trends to draft reports for the RSM
    • Implementing new sales plans and scheduling deliveries.
    • Training, coaching, and managing region’s marketing & sales teams to meet the area’s human resource objectives.
    • Maintaining relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
    • Engage in debt recovery and ensure prompt payment when necessary.
    • Review goals of sales representatives daily and identify root cause if goal was not obtained.
    • Review sales representative’s reports/records for completeness and accuracy.

    Management and Supervisory:

    • Checks on sales representatives throughout the day to be sure that any issues with equipment, personnel, material, safety, etc. are addressed promptly.
    • Coaches and develops staff, while fostering a team atmosphere. Provides pep talks as needed and coaching for any performance issues.
    • Assists reps with questions or problems they have regarding work assignments, priorities, safety, personnel issues, etc.
    • Counsels reps when necessary and recommends to RSM such personnel actions as disciplinary action, transfer, promotion, termination of employment, etc.
    • Oversees training and orientation of new employees and offers additional training as needed. Offers re-training when necessary. Sets up and maintains cross training, as applicable.
    • Check Sales & Marketing Output according to expectation and submit report on performance and progress.
    • Identify issues and inefficiency, suggest and take action on improvement.
    • Review goals of Sales Reps daily and identify root cause if goal was not obtained.
    • In collaboration with the RSM, sets performance expectation and target as well as review sales reps’ performance.
    • Conduct monthly performance appraisals for all Area Sales & Marketing employees and communicate information to RSM.

    Job Requirements

    • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 5-10 years’ experience in Marketing and Sales.

    Experience in management.

    • Understanding and knowledge of Sales and Marketing.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
    • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
    • The ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
    • The ability to work under pressure.
    • Excellent supervision, business presentation skills, organization and leadership abilities, self-motivated with a result driven approach, problem-solving skill.

    Working Conditions - The person must be physically able, can travel long trips by road, meetings, presentation and training sessions that require constant talking and listening.
