Job Summary

Duties / Responsibilities

• Works with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed.
• Analyzes movement and use patterns of the space.
• Creating initial design sketches, color themes and ideas based on client requirements and space availability
• Consults with client to select materials, furnishings, and décor pieces.
• Produce photo-realistic 3D images or animations of proposed models, plans, designs, buildings and developments
• Compiling finishes boards including color, furniture dimensions, furniture layout and finishes selections in line with client’s requirements
• production of rendering and post rendering works
• Use of necessary materials, adhering to project and budget specifications.
• Oversees the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements.
• Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.
• Ensure implementation of design changes where necessary and adequate spatial planning
• Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or a related field required; coursework in computer-aided design (CAD) highly preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience required.
• Must be able to distinguish between colors.

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to apply a sense of style to create aesthetically pleasing interiors.
• Strong visual design skills including proportion and aesthetics
• Excellent communication skills, especially in regard to communicating an artistic vision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Revit, Sketch up or 3dsmax.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
