Application Support Officer at The Concept Group

Job Summary

• Rosabon Financial Services, a member of The Concept Group, is seeking a skilled and reliable Application Support Officer to join our Transformation Department.

Role Overview

• The Application Support Officer will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and supporting the Group’s proprietary platforms, ensuring reliable day-to-day operations, system availability, effective user support, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor proprietary platforms, including configuration and performance checks.
• Manage user accounts and access rights in line with least-privilege principles.
• Provide first-line application support, troubleshoot incidents, and escalate issues when required.
• Monitor backups, maintain recovery procedures, and conduct periodic restore tests.
• Support system changes, patches, updates, and production releases under proper change control.
• Maintain platform documentation, access records, and credential vault entries.
• Monitor and report on platform performance, availability, and compliance indicators.
• Support knowledge transfer and ensure critical functions have adequate backup coverage.
• Liaise with IT, Engineering, and platform owners to resolve cross-functional issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in application support, software development, or systems administration.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting live business applications in a production environment.
• Experience in financial services or a regulated environment is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms, databases, cybersecurity, or IT service management (e.g., ITIL) are an added advantage.

Technical Skills: 

• Full-stack application support
• Database querying and maintenance
• Cloud, hosting, server, and basic infrastructure operations
• Version control and change/release management
• Application security, access control, backup, and recovery principles
