Application Support Engineer at Ascentech Services Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking an Application Support Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in backend development and application support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SQL Server, Python or .NET technologies, and be capable of supporting business applications, integrations, and backend services on the Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support for business applications via phone and remote access
• Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
• Build backend services using Python or .NET (C#)
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for integrations and automation
• Monitor and support ERP, POS, and third-party system integrations
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and data discrepancies
• Ensure timely resolution of application-related issues
• Accurately log issues into the Service Desk system
• Document technical issues and resolutions
• Provide technical support to group companies and end users

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in backend development or application support
• Proficiency in Python or .NET/C#
• Experience with SQL Server and REST APIs
• Basic knowledge of Azure services and cloud integrations
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as D365 or Odoo is an added advantage
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and documentation skills.
