Description 

• Repair and maintain washers, dryers, and small appliances
• Plans, monitors, installs and adjusts the full range of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment by means of an energy management system hands-on work
• Troubleshoots, maintains, modifies and repairs heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems and equipment including, reciprocating chillers, 225ton and 190 ton rotary screw chillers, heat exchangers, fans and fan motors, pumps and pump motors, electric and pneumatic controls, and associated safety, over current and other equipment protection devices ensuring that they operate at peak efficiency and conserve energy usage
• Performs installation of mechanical systems to include piping and modifications to existing facility’s cooling systems
• Utilizes and updates blueprints, technical manuals, manufacturer’s files and other record keeping
• Monitors work done by outside contractors for adherence to state and federal code requirements and report back to supervisor
• Perform any and all duties which may be assigned
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on packaged units, split coil systems, air compressors, pumps, air handlers, air cooled condensers, reciprocating chillers, 250 ton centrifugal and 190 ton rotary screw chillers, and various heat exchangers
• Must perform duties and responsibilities of a Journeyman level mechanic with strong a background in HVAC and refrigeration equipment to include hands-on experience in operating and troubleshooting industrial systems
• Installation of mechanical systems to include piping and modifications to existing facilities cooling systems
• Proficient in handling A Compressor issues.
