AI / IT Engineer Intern at Strivo Labs

About the Role

• We’re looking for an AI/IT Engineer Intern to support both AI/ML initiatives and core IT operations.
• You’ll get hands-on exposure to model development, system administration, and infrastructure support — ideal for someone who wants breadth across AI and IT before specializing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, training, and evaluating machine learning models
• Support integration of AI tools into existing products or workflows
• Help clean, process, and analyze datasets
• Provide IT support: troubleshoot hardware/software issues, manage user accounts, maintain systems and networks
• Assist with setup and maintenance of servers, workstations, and office IT infrastructure
• Write and maintain scripts for automation, data pipelines, and model experimentation
• Research and prototype with LLMs, APIs, and AI frameworks
• Document processes, findings, and technical procedures
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field
• Working knowledge of Python and basic scripting
• Understanding of IT fundamentals (networking, OS administration, hardware troubleshooting)
• Exposure to ML/AI concepts (supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation) is a plus
• Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with personal or academic AI/ML or IT support projects
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Basic knowledge of networking equipment, system admin tools, or Git.
