    Administrative Receptionist

    Job Summary

    The Administrative Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, partners, and clients. The role involves providing high-quality front desk and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations within the office. The ideal candidate will represent Gove Energy’s values of professionalism, efficiency, and integrity while assisting in coordinating office functions, handling correspondence, and supporting internal teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    Front Desk & Client Relations

    • Welcome and receive all visitors, clients, and partners in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Manage and direct incoming calls, emails, and correspondence to appropriate departments.
    •  Maintain an organised reception area that reflects Gove Energy’s corporate image
    • Coordinate and track visitor appointments, meetings, and boardroom schedules.

    Administrative Support

    • Provide general administrative and clerical support to management and departmental teams.
    • Prepare and format documents, memos, letters, and reports as assigned.
    • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and courier dispatch.
    •  Assist with the coordination of company meetings, conferences, and internal events.
    • Maintain office filing systems and ensure the safekeeping of administrative records.

    Office Coordination

    • Monitor and manage office supplies, stationery, and refreshments; liaise with vendors when replenishment is required.
    • Assist in onboarding new staff members by preparing workstations and access materials.
    • Support the HR & Admin department with basic record keeping, scheduling, and logistics.
    • Ensure compliance with company protocols for security, health, and safety within the office environment.⁠⁠

    Job QualificationsEducation & Experience

    • Minimum of an OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
    • 1–3 years of experience as an administrative assistant, receptionist, or front desk officer (experience in the oil and gas or energy sector is an advantage).Skills & Competencies1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Professional presentation and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Positive attitude, initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
