    Administrative Officer (Academic Division)

    Responsibilities

    • Oversees and facilitates resources management and administration procedures and documentation
    • Serves as the primary point of administrative contact and liaison with other offices, individuals, and institutions on operational issues i.e., course registration, grades upload, transcripts etc.
    • Ensure record keeping follows the best practices with regards to all student files, transcripts, and certificates.
    • Liaise with Faculties and Faculty Officers on matters relating to students’ course registration, grade uploads, deferment, etc.
    • Manage correspondence on behalf of the department including result verification, enquires, student registration details, transcript requests, etc.
    • Generate reports from time to time for informed decision-making.
    • Assist and support to the unit head in problem-solving, project planning and management, and development and execution of stated goals and objectives.
    • Assist in the interpretation of university policies and procedures, as appropriate, and ensures that office operations are in compliance with policy provisions and standards.

    Qualification & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in any Management or Social Science discipline
    • 2-3 years’ experience in an administrative role within an educational sector
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and experience in building, maintaining, and generating lists from databases; mail merging of group correspondence, invitations, etc
    • Competence in data interpretation, analysis, and presentation.
    • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
    • Knowledge of office management principles and procedures
    • Meticulous degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to deal sensitively and discretely with confidential information.
