Administrative Driver at Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN)

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking for an Administrative Driver to provide driving services for GAIN Nigeria offices. This role will be offered on a 2 years fixed-term contract, subject to availability of funding. You will be based in Abuja, Nigeria.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance and Administration Officer, you will oversee the vehicle to facilitate movement of staff and maintain vehicle in line with GAIN Nigeria Vehicle Use Policy and according to other GAIN policies and procedures for effective project implementation.

Key Responsibilities include;

• Maintaining and ensuring availability of all required documents/supplies including vehicle papers first aid kits, vehicle spare parts, etc. in line with Nigerian road and traffic laws
• Ensuring the office directory, relevant maps, emergency contact information and other required documents are maintained in the assigned vehicle and keep up to date
• Driving office vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel
• Delivering and collecting mails, supporting banking transactions and documents deliveries
• Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle including washing/cleaning and valeting
• Carrying regular checks on company vehicles in comply with the Vehicle Use Policy

About You

The ideal candidate should Demonstrated driving work experience in both private and NGO sector. Also, you should have proven knowledge of Abuja routes and States of project Implementation.

The postholder should have good interpersonal skills and proven ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment. You should be a highly organized and respectful person, and highly flexible and willing to travel in challenging environments.

About our Offer

The starting salary on offer for this role is from NGN 3,967,380 – NGN 4,534,140 per annum, depending on experience.
