Conduct interviews for institution and official functions.
Provide communication backstopping for exhibitions, events, and institution activities.
Generate and write stories for the institution newsletter (bulletin and Talking Drums).
Assist the Scientist and team member with day-to-day administrative processes.
Facilitate organization of project meeting, events and travel.
Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION:
BSc/HND in Mass Communication, Public Administration or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
COMPETENCIES:
The ideal candidate must:
Have a positive attitude, strong team spirit and the ability to work well in a diverse team.
Be well organized, able to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines with keen attention to details.
Be fluent in Hausa language (speaking and writing).
Be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with demonstrated experience with setting up and providing support for online meeting using Zoom or MS Teams.
Have photography skills, report writing and event coverage.
Have excellent writing and oral communication skills.
