Accounts Officer at Biz Afric Solutions

Salary: ₦130,000 – ₦160,000/month

Role Summary

We are seeking an Accountant with 2–3 years of relevant experience to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting principles who is eager to grow and learn on the job. 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare monthly financial reports and cash flow statements
• Reconcile bank statements and other accounts
• Track inventory and cost of goods sold
• Support tax filings and regulatory compliance
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts
• Liaise with external consultants/auditors when needed
• Suggest improvements to financial processes where applicabl

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Excel)
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently
• Must have started ICAN (in progress is acceptable)
