Accounting & Finance Manager at First Electric Power and Automation Services Limited

Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounting & Finance Manager, located in Lagos or Abuja.
• The Accounting & Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance.
• The role involves managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. Additionally, the Accounting & Finance Manager will coordinate with other departments to support financial decision-making and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Maintain accurate, timely, and up-to-date financial records.
• Prepare and present key financial reports including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to management.

Treasury & Cashflow Management

• Monitor cashflow, liquidity, and overall financial health of the business.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure alignment with internal records.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide decision-making.
• Monitor budget performance, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with Nigerian financial laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements (FIRS and other relevant authorities).
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls.

Strategic Support

• Provide insights to improve cost efficiency, revenue growth, and business profitability.
• Partner with senior management to develop strategies for financial sustainability and expansion.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Professional certification (ICAN or ACCA) is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with Sage Accounting Software (Sage Evolution 200).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and attention to detail.
