• The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, experience in the fintech industry, and the ability to navigate complex financial landscapes.

Essential Functions

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring adherence to applicable accounting standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Monitor and reconcile financial transactions related to our digital payment systems, ensuring accuracy and investigating discrepancies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and policies to safeguard company assets and mitigate risk.
• Support tax compliance activities, including preparation and submission of tax returns and resolving tax-related queries.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the finance team and leadership based on comprehensive data analysis.
• Stay up to date with fintech industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support various finance-related initiatives, such as fundraising, investor reporting, and financial planning.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Certified Public Accountant designation preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the fintech industry.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
