As the Accountant, you will manage the company's financial transactions, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities while ensuring accurate financial records and effective financial controls within the travel agency operations.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, management accounts, budgets, and periodic financial reports
Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, cash flow, bank reconciliations, and daily financial transactions
Reconcile airline, ticketing, vendor, and customer accounts while promptly resolving financial discrepancies
Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, audit, and internal financial control requirements
Monitor expenses, revenue, and financial performance while providing timely financial information to support management decisions.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ICAN certification is an added advantage
Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience, with relevant experience within a Travel Agency or Travel & Tourism business
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, taxation, accounts payable/receivable, and financial controls
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience using AirBooks software is an added advantage.
