Accountant at Rovedana

JOB DESCRIPTION: Rovedana Limited is seeking to hire a trustworthy and very reliable Accountant who can work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.

SALARY: #200,000

LOCATIONS: Lagos , Uyo, Rivers

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensuring the company’s daily financial transactions are accurately posted and all

• the branches’ daily accounts are properly closed.

• Supervise all branches closely and ensure that they post their complete daily

• financial transactions accurately.

• Reconciling all the company’s bank accounts on a weekly basis

• Maintaining the company’s monthly Trial Balances and Financial Accounts.

• Preparing quarterly Management Reports for the company (capturing all the

• branches nationwide).

• Working with Auditors to ensure that the annual auditing exercise is successful.

• Answering all Accounts-related queries from Federal & State Tax officers and other Governmental and organizational bodies whenever they visit.

• Preparing all Accounting and Financial reports and schedules required to aid decision making process.

• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents

• Payroll Administration

• Preparing the schedules for statutory remittances (PAYE, Withholding tax, Pension, Company tax, ITF, NSITF, among others) and ensuring timely remittance.

• Maintaining a complete and accurate Fixed Asset Register for the company

• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

• Knowledge of Accounting Software ERP SAGE EVOLUTION is a guaranteed plus.

• B.Sc / HND in Accounting / Finance (Masters degree will be an added advantage)

• ICAN/ACCA will be an added advantage

• Minimum of seven years’ Accounting experience in a trading company

• Good knowledge in Financial Reporting, Cost Accounting, Budgeting and

• budgetary control, Treasury, General Ledger management

• Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills

• Excellent mathematical and numerical skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Accounting software.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Must be willing to work on Saturdays.

• 10 years Experience and above.
