Are you an accounting professional in the renewable field looking to take your career in a new direction? Do you want to be part of the pioneers in our expansion? We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets and prepare financial statements and oversee our budgeting and forecasting. We will rely on you to provide advice to support our company’s decision-making.

Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations and all our accounting transactions comply with the law and support our company’s investments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that records comply with laws and regulations
• Gather financial data and ledgers
• Consolidate and analyze financial statements and results
• Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Manage periodical reporting
• Oversee external and internal audits
• Analyze finances to determine risks and create forecasts
• Advise management on how to craft effective business plans and resolve cost-related issues
• Manage all accounting transactions
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Gather and monitor financial data (e.g., sales revenues and liabilities)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
• Forecast costs and revenues
• Organize internal audits
• Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
• Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
• Analyze financial trends
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Comply with financial policies and regulations
• Process payroll working hand in hand with the HR department

Requirements

• 3-5years proven work experience as an Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
• In-depth experience in risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• An analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
• Excellent communication skills
• Keen eye for detail
• Organizational and leadership skills
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Excellent math skills with an attention to detail

• BSc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree
• Additional certification (ACCA or ICAN) is a plus
