As an accountant at Trading Partner Ltd., you'll be responsible for account closing and financial report preparation, taxation, and internal control system follow-ups. Your role entails account coding & encoding, account receivable, payment authorization, tax filling, and audit coordination.
You'll also gather, review, analyze, and present financial and non-financial information from various sources within and outside the company and make recommendations that will impact the company positively.
You'll report directly to the Managing Director of the Company.
Responsibilities
Preparing balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Coordinating internal control activities across the business to ensure the Company’s revenue sustenance
Understand the legislation of the country and be able to calculate cost production taking into account the specifics of the legislation of the country
Ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Preparing tax returns and ensuring that taxes are paid properly and on time
Evaluating financial operations to recommend best practices, identify issues and strategize solutions, and help organizations run efficiently
Offering guidance on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization
Conducting forecasting and risk analysis assessments
Performing all other duties that will enhance profitability, productivity and going concern status of the company
Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any related field.
Possession of ACCA or ACA, CFA is an added advantage.
Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in a financial reporting role in an Import/Export firm.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools
Strong presentation skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation tools
Advanced skills in other Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, and MS Project.
