About the Job

• Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in the maritime security industry.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and supporting the company’s financial health.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements, invoices, and financial transactions.
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE) and liaise with regulatory bodies.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Monitor cash flow and provide financial insights to management.
• Conduct financial audits and ensure adherence to internal control.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the maritime or security sector.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
