About the job
The accountant will be responsible for the daily financial operation of the company, and provide effective financial management services to the company and also enforce accounting policies.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of all daily transactions (accounts payable and accounts receivable).
Accurately update the internal system with financial data.
Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
Review, design and implement financial policies.
Track bank deposits and payments.
Audit financial transactions and documents.
Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data.
Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite & accounting tools.
Qualifications
A minimum of 2-3 years work experience.
HND/BSc Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite & accounting tools.
ACA or ACCA certified is a plus.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Keen interest in the growth, efficiency, and profitability of an organization.
