Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced Accountant with advanced expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to join our dynamic team. The primary focus of this role is "QuickBooks Online clean ups" for our diverse client base. The ideal candidates will work closely with our Team Leader in the Nigeria Office and Office Team to ensure seamless processes, accurate financial records, and timely project completion. The ideal candidates must have bookkeeping experience with U.S. based clients using QuickBooks Online (QBO).  

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth cleanups and reconciliations in QuickBooks Online, ensuring the accuracy of historical and current financial data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve QBO-related discrepancies, errors, and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate directly with the team leader to prioritize and to gather necessary financial information and provide updates on progress.
• Maintain and improve QuickBooks Online chart of accounts, and overall financial organization.
• Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks as needed, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• QuickBooks Online Advanced experience.
• Experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Professional certification preferred but not required ( ACA, ACCA etc ).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, with a focus on "cleanup" and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of US accounting principles and practices (GAAP knowledge is a must).
• Experience working with a US-based accounting firm is a plus .
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
