Accountant at CITCC Nigeria Limited

Job Objectives

To provide qualitative support services to the organization’s operations through effective implementation of Accounting standards, financial policies and procedures governing financial management & control.

Functions & Responsibilities

• Ensure proper record keeping of sub-contractors
• Reconciliation of  general ledger
• Post vouchers and payment slip into the Accounts Software
• Carry out invoice verification for correctness and completeness
• Verify revenue income from clients
• Post and maintain records for Accounts payable and Accounts receivable
• Ensure the timely reporting of all financial information
• Carry out coding of payment slip & invoices
• Ensure proper documentation of Financial documents
• Maintain corresponding from banks and others
• Prepare VAT & WHT schedule
• Ensure timely payment & receipt documentation of VAT, PAYE & WHT
• Maintain account file for all bank transactions
• Carry out all other duties as directed by the Account Manager
• Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording financial data
• Produce and submit weekly report to Accounts Manager

Competencies and other Personal Attributes

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to use Peachtree Accounting software (SAGE 50) is a must
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent work ethics is key
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to prioritize and manage expectations

• Must be passionate about the role and display capacity to learn fast
• Must be highly organized, pay attention to detail , and be able to sort and file  accounting books/records efficiently

Work Experiences

A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an accountant or in a similar position.

Professional Requirements

ICAN/ACCA/CITN certification or Proof of certification ’in view’’ will be an added advantage

Educational Qualifications

Minimum of First Degree in Accounting/Accountancy.
