About the Role

• We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team within the skincare and retail industry. The ideal candidate will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations in Nigeria. This role requires strong analytical ability, integrity, and hands-on experience with financial management tools and tax filing platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements — balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and monthly variance analysis to guide decision-making.
• Track company expenses and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate accounting records.
• Oversee VAT, PAYE, and company income tax filings in compliance with FIRS and state tax laws.
• Maintain accurate records in accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar tools.
• Support audits and ensure adherence to financial reporting standards.
• Provide data-driven insights to management to improve financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA, ACCA, or CPA is a plus).
• 3–4 years of accounting experience — preferably in the FMCG, skincare, or retail sector.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws and VAT filing processes (FIRS, RIRS, or LIRS).
• Proficient in financial software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Xero.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and integrity.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
