Accountant at Baker Industries Limited

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate ledger maintenance.
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and statutory remittances (e.g., VAT, PAYE, WHT).
• Support internal and external audits.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial data.

Requirements

• Minimum of B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate or a similar industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• ICAN/ACCA qualification (in view or completed) is an added advantage.
