Accountant / Auditor at Veritaspeak Consultancy

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in accounting, auditing, or a related role.
• BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in tax matters, including tax compliance, filing, and statutory obligations.
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliation, auditing procedures, and Nigerian accounting regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical and analytical skills, integrity, confidentiality, and ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

 Key Responsibilities 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including income, expenses, receivables, and payables.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, reconciliations, and other accounting documentation.
• Conduct regular audits and financial reviews to identify discrepancies, errors, control weaknesses, and revenue leakages.
• Handle tax computations, documentation, filings, and other statutory tax obligations.
• Monitor internal controls and compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and financial regulations.
• Provide financial reports and recommendations to management while maintaining strict confidentiality of company financial information

• Monday – Saturday

• Applicants must reside in Gudu, Gaduwa, Apo, or a nearby location

Branch Flexibility

• The successful candidate may be posted to branch based on operational requirements and work schedules.
