Account Payable Officer at BWC Hotels

Primary Responsibilities

• Regular communication with internal and external clients via phone and email correspondence
• Processing payment documents in accordance with internal procedures and policy as well as in compliance with legal requirements i.e. Tax laws
• Responsible for posting payment vouchers on Software
• Prepares payment batches, cheques, and other payment instruction types
• Raises and prepares inventory purchase requisition and follows through that inventory account with Vendors get credited.
• Ensures that inventory reorder level is maintained, and inventory does not run out
• Reconcile various accounts including bank accounts by identifying errors in posting and omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards
• Assist with monthly status reports and monthly closings
• Files and maintains payment and accounting documents
• Performs other duties as required to support the department.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree OR HND (Preferably in Finance / Accounting)
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in accounts payable or general accounting of a hotel
• Ability to use MS Excel, and Word.
• Knowledge of SAGE or a similar system is an advantage
• Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and follow-up on pending issues
• Must be open to change and willing to learn new skills
• Progress in ICAN is an advantage.
• Must be a MALE for gender balance.
