As the Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for managing financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with statutory and financial reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
Prepare invoices, issue payment receipts, and follow up on outstanding client payments
Reconcile bank accounts, maintain accurate financial records, and manage petty cash transactions
Prepare monthly financial reports, account statements, and management reports
Ensure timely remittance of statutory obligations including taxes, pensions, and other regulatory payments
Maintain compliance with accounting policies, financial controls, and audit requirements
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software
Strong understanding of financial reporting, bank reconciliation, taxation, and statutory compliance
ICAN certification or progress toward professional certification is an added advantage.
