Job Purpose

• The Account officer will manage financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support financial reporting in the organization.
• The role involves overseeing accounts payable/receivable, handling inventory accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable/receivable, process invoices, and reconcile balances.
• Monitor and account for inventory levels, ensuring accurate valuation and cost control.
• Track daily and monthly sales performance and assist in cash flow management.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses against forecasts.
• Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Ensure tax compliance and assist with audits.
• Liaise with vendors and customers on financial issues.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 2 years+ of accounting experience.

Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or any ERP system used in accounts.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to handle large datasets.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN) .
