Account Officer at Halifield Schools

Job Summary:

• Halifield Schools is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Account Officer to manage the school’s finances, including accounts payable, fee collections, and financial reporting. The role ensures accurate record-keeping, timely payments, and smooth financial operations to support the school’s academic and administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record, monitor, and reconcile all school financial transactions
• Handle accounts payable, ensuring timely payment to suppliers, vendors, and service providers
• Manage fee collections, receipts, and other school payments efficiently
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets for school management
• Maintain accurate records for payroll, suppliers, and other expenses
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Monitor petty cash, bank transactions, and school accounts
• Support the finance team in planning, reporting, and financial decision-making

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3–5 years relevant experience (experience in a school environment is an advantage)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial software
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and professionalism
• Good communication and reporting skills
