We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to leadour accountteam and contribute to our continued growth and success.
This role entails maintaining our financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to guide decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Invoicing: Overseeinvoice processing, purchase orders, payments to suppliers/contractors, and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment.
Financial Records: Ensureaccurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processes such as salaries, benefits & compensation packages, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, providing recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors during financial and tax audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
Month-End and Year-End Close: Participate in month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
10 - 12years of proven experience in accounting and financial management.
Professional certification such as ACCAor ICAN is required.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ZohoBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of Nigerian financial regulations, accounting standards and Knowledge of Taxation Laws
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
