    Account Assistant

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Documenting and maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
    • Generating periodic financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to provide an overview of the organization's financial health.
    • Evaluating financial information to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement, and providing insights to stakeholders.
    • Assisting in the development and monitoring of budgets to ensure that financial goals are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
    • Performing internal audits to assess the organization's financial procedures, identify risks, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
    • Providing guidance and recommendations to management or clients on financial decisions, investments, and strategies to optimize financial performance.
    • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting principles, including tax laws and financial reporting standards.
    • Preparing and filing tax returns, maintaining tax records, and providing tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws.

    Education and Experience

    • A Bachelor Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting or related courses from a reputable educational institution.
    • ACA is an added advantage
    • Prior work experience as an Account Assistant between 2-3 years.
    • Excellent MS Office knowledge
    • Must be between 24 and 34 years of age
    • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
    • Familiarity with office gadgets and applications
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
