A-Level ICT Teacher at Westerfield College

Job Purpose:

• To deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in A-Level ICT, supporting students to develop strong digital and analytical skills while preparing them for examinations and future academic or career pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver effective lessons in line with the A-Level ICT syllabus (e.g. Cambridge, Edexcel, OCR).
• Prepare students for both internal assessments and external examinations.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and academic support.
• Maintain accurate records of teaching, assessment, and attendance.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, where necessary, and participate in subject-related meetings.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all learners.

Requirements

• A degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching A-Level ICT.
• Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with current exam board requirements.
• Good classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and support diverse learners.
• Experience teaching international or high-achieving sixth form studenB
• Familiarity with digital learning tools and platforms.
• Experience contributing to co-curricular or enrichment ICT activities.
