Position Description

• We are looking for Operations Maintenance and Project Candidates for Refinery
• It is essential that the candidate should have relevant Refinery, experience/Petrochemical Plants experience, to build the World's largest single stream train Greenfield refinery and Petrochemical complex site based candidates for Nigeria, Lagos.

Job Responsibilities

• Jointly with HSE and Operations Managers, oversees directly the safety and environmental compliance of the Refinery on a daily basis
• Ensures personally that control of work procedures are invariably followed and documented and that all appropriate engineering standards selected for the Refinery are observed
• Selects, implements and monitors the Refinery maintenance planning and control-of-work systems
• Delivers the HSE and mechanical availability targets of the business plan
• Delivers the maintenance cost targets of the business plan
• Delivers a continuous improvement program for Refinery mechanical availability and maintenance cost effectiveness
• Delivers the capital projects handled locally by the site Initial

Project Activities
Oversees and participates in:

• Finalize detailed organization plan for area
• Provision of input to engineering from Maintenance perspective on start-up/shutdown systems, isolation, bypasses, drains, safety, etc.
• Management of technical assistance from major equipment vendors for startup and initial operation
• Preparation of detailed Maintenance manuals and procedures
• Preparation of training program for Maintenance
• Selection and formulation of Maintenance System, including Control of Work
• Recruitment of Maintenance core team

Desired Qualification/Preferred Competencies

• BS or MS Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) Minimum 20 years’ experience in refinery maintenance, 5 years’ maintenance senior management experience in a major refinery
• Demonstrated expertise with modern maintenance planning and control systems
• Excellent communication and leadership qualities. Track record of commitment to safety and the development of his team.
