    Electrical Plant Superintendent

    Responsibilities

    •     Control generator outputs to match the phase, frequency and voltage of electricity supplied to panels.
    •     Monitor power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems.
    •     Adjust controls to generate specified electrical power or to regulate the flow of power between generation stations and substations.
    •     Control power generating equipment, including generators using control boards or semi-automatic equipment.
    •     Regulate equipment operations and conditions, such as water levels, based on instrument data or from computers.
    •     Communicate with system operators to regulate and coordinate line voltages, transmission loads and frequencies.
    •     Operate or maintain distributed power generation equipment. including fuel cells to provide energy on site.
    •     Inspect records/logbook entries or communicate with plant personnel to assess equipment operating status.

    Qualification and Experience

    •     B.Eng. in any Electrical Engineering Candidate would be accountable for the troubleshooting and problem resolution of all electrical plant equipment issues.
    •     Experience: 3-5 years working with electrical, electronic and mechanical maintenance, 3 of which must be in Oil & Gas Projects.
    •     Good working of: diesel power generator(some catapillar power systems would be an advantage, high voltage(1 1kv). step up/down transformer, substations, switch gear and electronics.
    •     Able to trouble shoot on HV and LV systems.
    •     Software: Proficiency in MS Office
