Crane Operator OJT/Assessor at Pivot GIS Limited

Qualified candidates should have the following:

• Minimum of OND in Sciences in any tertiary institution.
• IVQ Level 2 training skills will be desirable
• Crane Operator certification or equivalent & valid Nigeria license

Technical/Business: 

• Minimum 5 years in the Oil and Gas Industry onshore off shore, 1 year as a trainer in crane operations, 3 years in other industry as a crane operator
• Identify learning and development gaps and liaise with the supervisor, NLNG Coordinator and Training Coordinator for interventions. 
• Sound knowledge of IT skills including Microsoft Office suite

Interpersonal Skills and Competencies

• High level of oral and written communication skills
• Proven organizational skills in a training environment and ability to work as part of  a team
• A thorough understanding of all technical aspects of Crane Operations to the known International standard. Including the ability to train on complex lifts and a full understanding of all LOLER standards and loads.
• Must have a full understanding of all lifting requirements across multi equivalent up to 250 tonne on mobile cranes and industry best practices for safe systems of work.
• Understand and can deliver training on forklifts, manual handling and other equipment as required.
• Effectively deliver safety training and competency assessment in the workplace.
• Ability to develop and deliver course training materials.
• Understands and can deliver training on forklifts, manual handling and other equipment as required

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Assess, train and develop the competence of Crane Operators personnel to fulfill the requirements of NLNG and PIVOT-GIS training standards through on Job Training, coaching, mentoring, assessing and feedback
• Compliance to HSE standards with no Omni Safe issues arising from OJT and coaching activities.
• Competent to develop and conduct both practical and classroom training.
• Maintain technical skills to the required level of competence complying with all LOLER standards and procedures and work instructions.
