    Systems Strengthening Technical Advisor

    Location: Lagos state
    Fixed term, until 31 December 2014 with possible extension
    Salary: commensurate with experience

    Role description:
    The Systems Strengthening Techincal Advisor (SSTA) will join Options under the Enhancing Nigeria’s Response (ENR) to HIV/AIDS Programme. The SSTA will be responsible for supporting the State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS (SACA) in his/her State by building the capacity and providing assistance for the development and maintenance of efficient and effective coordination, planning and reporting for an effective, multi-sectoral and evidence-based HIV/AIDS response.

    Qualifications and experience:

    •     Master's degree or equivalent experience in public health administration, Social Sciences, or other related field
    •     Minimum of 10 years of consulting and/or management experience in large, complex, Non-Government, public or private sector development projects
    •     Demonstrated program management competency and effective communication skills in working with clients, partners, and other public health professionals
    •     Understanding of key issues for STI/HIV programming
    •     Experience in institutional development, mentoring and training for different cadres of staff and partners
    •     Excellent technical writing, editing, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as being a self starter.
