Duties and Responsibilities

• Amongst other duties, the Machine Specialist will:
• Maintain a safe, healthy and risk free working environment
• Maintain, repair and optimize plant and associated devices
• Carry out repairs / maintenance
• Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation/systems
• Continuously improve (optimize) plant, process equipment and systems
• Operate plant and process equipment
• Calibrate equipment according to good maintenance practice
• Apply the VPO principles and practices
• Contribute to Self and Team development and Communicate effectively in the Work place.

Requirements
Qualifications and skills required:

• Minimum of  HND/B.Eng. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 2-4 years Routine Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance experience on high speed packing lines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Key competencies and attributes:

• Good understanding of modern maintenance practices and maintenance systems
• Good knowledge of Brewing production processes and technologies
• Good understanding of Asset Care principles and practices
• Knowledge of Voyager Plant Optimization (VPO)
• Ability to apply the VPO principles and practices

• Proactive, independent and high on initiative
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Microsoft office proficiency i.e. MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
