Content Developer (Agric Content) at Farmcrowdy

Contract duration: Permanent
Reports to: Digital Marketing Manager

The Role

• The Content Development writer is to create Agric-Related content for Farmcrowdy’s media publications, website and mobile app content 

Duties

• Review and update content scheduling calendar for online media publication
• Create communication content (press releases, company milestones, news, journals, company research papers, etc.) on behalf of Farmcrowdy
• Perform research and fact checking on content for print and online pieces across all Farmcrowdy’s Communication media (Blog, Website, external publications, newsletters, social media posts, etc)
• Curate data sets for Infographic creation
• Work with team members on social media and media-buy
• Develop content for periodic Magazine Publications
• Edit content for weekly updates for Farm Projects
• Implement SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and best practices in all write-ups and publications

Qualifications

• A 1st degree in Agriculture or in any other agricultural related discipline would be an advantage;
• Any other degree in Social Sciences, Humanities or any other 1st degree that is relevant to the role with a detailed understanding of Agriculture and Agric Practices

Competencies
Ideal candidates for this role should have:

• Strong command over content creation
• Familiarity with keyword placement and other SEO best practices
• Some experience with online marketing and lead generation
• An understanding of formatting articles on the web
• Socially adept
• Ability to analyze and explain emerging social media trends
• Knowledge of social media and online analytics (experience with Google Analytics or comparable tools)
• Broad understanding of traditional and new media
• Strong listening skills
• Proofreading skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Ability to communicate with both technical and functional users
