    Senior Business Analyst - BDAA

    Position Overview

    • Gathers operational data to examine past business performance; identifies data patterns & trends and provides insights to enhance business decision making capability in process improvement, solution assessment etc.; recommends actions for future developments & strategic business; may be involved in exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis and/or qualitative analysis.
    • Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in specific area; ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects.

    Function Specific Activities

    • The Data Analyst will help shape the future of what the data strategy should be through analytical organizations, driving processes for pragmatically managing and governing the data for a domain of use cases, and extracting insights in creative ways using confirmatory and exploratory analytics, creating new lines of thinking within the TCCC System and situations.
    • The Analytics Team will be a dynamic and quickly growing platform within the TCCC System. Our unique value proposition lies in an end-to-end approach for the TCCC system ranging from identifying sources of value from big data all the way through to the adoption phase. We help TCCC System achieve transformational change by developing data-driven insights specific to the to the Beverage sector. Our work covers a wide variety of strategic and tactical engagements.
    • This person will be expected to play the role of data strategist & integrator and be proficient across Data, Analytics, Business acumen and Change/Advisory leadership roles with Data and Business Acumen being the primary areas of focus.

    Key Duties/Responsibilities

    • Data Visualization & Dashboarding: Collaborate with business users, business analysts, other dashboard developers and technical architects in transforming business requirements into analytic dashboards and workbooks reflecting usability best practices and current design trends.
    • Champion dashboard quality, usability and reliability by documenting and applying best practices to design and development projects.
    • Work to understand seemingly disparate relationships between data, data sources, and business objectives to derive meaningful visualizations for stakeholders.
    • Implement advanced financial calculations within Tableau and embed workbooks for consumption by internal departments.
    • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions as a subject matter expert for both team members and enterprise users on Tableau. Assist with the development and/or editing of key metrics.
    • Data: Work with data engineer and data scientists to understand data requirements and problem solve on best practice data structures. Play the lead role in defining the data roadmap for organization to drive continuous impact. Help manage the interaction between the business (who own the data) and IT (that manage the data)
    • Analytics: Understand pros and cons of different analytics approaches, explain advanced algorithms, e.g., econometrics, driver regressions, machine learning etc. in simple terms and perform quality control on analytical outputs. Provide targeted input and improvements to algorithms chosen
    • Business acumen: Develop or have deep industry expertise (CPG and Ideally beverages in emerging markets), Develops use case roadmap and prioritize based on impact. Understand typical data sources and challenges associated with them and practical workarounds.  Stay abreast on new sources and uses of data as applicable to CPG's. 
    • Understand current state of analytics more broadly and apply techniques from across industries
    • Advisory leadership: Combine the views of subject matter experts and data engineers/scientists to drive insights to action and align stakeholders around the solution.
    • Understand process changes necessary to embed change. 
    • Assist in design, development and implementation of a broader Business Intelligence strategy

    Communication Complexities:

    • Collaborate with business users, business analysts, other dashboard developers and technical architects in transforming business requirements into analytic dashboards and workbooks reflecting usability best practices and current design trends.
    • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions as a subject matter expert for both team members and enterprise users on Tableau.
    • Combine the views of subject matter experts and data engineers/scientists to drive insights to action and align stakeholders around the solution.
    • Work with data engineer and data scientists to understand data requirements and problem solve on best practice data structures. Play the lead role in defining the data roadmap for organization to drive continuous impact. Help manage the interaction between the business (who own the data) and IT (that manage the data)

    Judgement and Decision Making:

    • Make final recommendation for data visualization to the Business Unit.  - Recommender
    • Problem Solve / recommend best practice data structures - Recommender
    • Define data roadmap for WABU- Recommender
    • Perform quality control on analytical outputs - Final Authority
    • Provide targeted input and improvements to algorithms chosen - Recommender
    • Determine best approach for sourcing data and data models to solve business issue - Final Authority

    Innovation:

    • The Data Analyst will help shape the future of what the data strategy should be through analytical organizations, driving processes for pragmatically managing and governing the data for a domain of use cases, and extracting insights in creative ways using confirmatory and exploratory analytics, creating new lines of thinking within the TCCC System and situations.

    Required Qualifications
    Type of prev. work experience required:

    • Degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field or an MBA with a technical background)
    • Strong consultative communication skills diagnosing data to develop successful growth strategies with clients.
    • Should be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work effectively with people across middle levels in an organization
    • Experience with Advanced Analytics tools such as: R, Python, SQL, Matlab, SAS, SPSS, Minitab, Hive, Hadoop, Pig, Tableau, Spotfire
    • Expertise or demonstrable knowledge in Statistics / Big Data / Machine Learning / Data Science / IoT.
    • Advanced knowledge of data mining using traditional and non-traditional databases and sources
    • Demonstrated ability to design and ETL workflows
    • Familiarity with NRM models, machine learning, data lakes, consumer and syndicated data, marketing practices etc.
    • Proven comfort and an intellectual curiosity for working with large sets of data, pulling in relevant team members to address identified and sometimes undiscovered needs for clients
    • How many years of previous work experience are required?
    • Total of 7+ years professional work experience.  Minimum of 3 years of work experience should have been hands-on experience in data management, data mining, and dashboard building in a business analyst role.

    Indicate the minimum education level required to perform this job:

    • University/Bachelor's Degree Required
    • University/Advanced Degree Preferred
    • Postgraduate/Master's Degree Preferred
    • List Required Certifications: Tableau certification is a plus

    • This is to support the new capability being built in KO and pioneered by WABU of Big Data Advanced Analytics.
    • The Business Analyst role is critical to our path forward and ability to execute the overall capability as a BU
