School Bursar at McPherson University

Job Description
The Bursar is the Chief Finance Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day financial administration of the University. The Bursar is a Principal Officer and a member of the University Management Team and provides expert advice from time to time on issues of revenue generation, disbursement of funds and also investments.

Qualifications and Experience

•     The successful candidate must hold a good Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University and must be a Chartered Accountant with professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA e.t.c, plus at least (13) years post qualification experience in a tertiary institution.
•     He/She must have served at the level of Deputy Bursar or equivalentandshall be between the agesof 45 and 55 years.
•     In addition, he/she must be ICT compliant.

Tenure
The appointment is for a term of five (5) years and is renewable for a maximum of another term of five years.

Salary and Allowances
The salary and allowances attached to this position are very attractive. The University runs a salary scale that compares with what obtains in Public Universities in Nigeria.
