Cook at Awoof Berekete

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of food according to recipe
• Ensure food is prepared as per food preparation requirements
• Ensure meals are produced on time, and sufficient quantities are available.
• Maintain stock levels of all kitchen supplies
• Must be able to assist the head chef/ the production manager in all sections
• Be available for functions as they arise to ensure that the food is prepared and served as required
• Must ensure all HACCP protocols as well as best practice is applied daily in the kitchen operations
• Must be creative and innovative in terms of cooking
• Ability to prepare large volume of cooking

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum of Secondary School Certificate.
• Additional qualifications from a reputable catering school is required
• Excellent cooking skills with ability to prepare several dishes
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment/ under pressure
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
• 3years relevant experience in a restaurant or hotel setting
