Details:
To  provide  high  quality,  results  focused  and  professional  gym  instructing  to facilitate people of all ages and varying needs through the delivery of safe and effective appraisals, programs, instruction, education and motivation.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Customers and Service
• Work within a team environment to create, maintain and promote a clean, well organised  health  club  and  a  harmonious  and  happy  environment  where customers are happy to attend regularly.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned daily and maintained to a high standard.
• Provide and maintain excellent service and assist customers with general gym enquiries    and sales (walk in and phone in).
• Conduct valid and reliable fitness appraisals and programs using standardized methods
• Design and monitor effective individualized programs for clients. Safely instruct members through their personal program.
• Provide instruction to clients in techniques and equipment use in the gym facilities.
• Monitor members’ training by walking the gym floor and offering assistance.
• Provide motivation and positive feedback to clients using the facilities in the health club.
• Ensure that membership fees are charged in accordance with the gym fees and charges as adopted by management of the hotel, unless special and/or promotional fees are authorised by Management.
• Actively promote the membership packages.
• Promote the  Gym at every opportunity and provide excellent customer service.
• Adopt a team approach to the operations of the Gym.
• Ensure a high level of personal and team motivation is maintained.
• Take direction from Senior Staff.

Skills and capabilities
To provide high quality results focused gym instructions and personal training to facilitate people to all ages and varying needs through the delivery of safe and effective appraisals and instructions.

Knowledge
Good understanding in the delivery of exercise programs that allow members to achieve their fitness goals.

Experience
Previous experience in a Gym environment.
