DATA ANALYST at Tedikom Wireless Limited

Job Description

1. Confirms project requirements by studying user requirements; conferring with others on project team.
2. Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
3. Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
4. Perform internal audit and prepare all invoices and determine quality improvement processes.
5. Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
6. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
7. Filter and “clean” data, and review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
8. Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs
9. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Requirements

1. Proven working experience as a data analyst
2. Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
3. Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
4. Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
6. Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
7. Bachelor of Science(B.Sc) in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
8. Candidate must be available to work weekends (Saturday)
