- B.Sc. Marine Engineering.
- B. Sc. Nautical Science or any seafarer with classroom experience
- Any retired Chief Engineer, 2nd Engineer with classroom experience
- Retired Captains, Chief Officers with classroom experience.
- Experienced GMDSS Radio Operator.
